Lauren has been an occupational therapist working in Houston for eight years. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and Spanish from the University of Michigan in 2008, followed by a master of science degree in occupational therapy from Rush University Medical Center in 2010. Her professional experience spans pediatric outpatient clinics, schools, and home health. Lauren specializes in working with children who have cerebral palsy or other neuro-motor disorders, and she is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment. Over the years, she has combined her passions for traveling and occupational therapy by completing volunteer trips to provide her services to children with disabilities in orphanages around the world. She has traveled to 39 countries and in doing so, realized the significant need for an organization like Therapists Without Borders. Thanks to the support from people following her Instagram account (@properjetiquette), she finally mustered up the courage to start the organization and has never been more excited.
