Maureen has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 18 years, for much of that time owning and operating her own private practice. After earning a bachelor of science degree in speech and hearing from the University of Arizona, she graduated with a master of science in communication disorders from Arizona State University. Maureen’s professional experiences include supporting families of infants and children with special needs to develop skills in feeding, communication and cognition. In addition to clinical work, Maureen has used her passion for supporting diverse populations by implementing programs and conducting training domestically and internationally in Zambia, Mongolia, Ethiopia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia, Mauritius, and Bulgaria. She has also contributed her clinical expertise to co-develop a web-based app to screen for and offer interventions to infants and children with feeding difficulties living in orphanage settings. Maureen believes that collaboration within the global community elevates clinical practice and is essential for promoting improved outcomes.
